The B130-101A-WP-2 VGA with Audio over Cat5/Cat6 Extender Kit includes transmitter and receiver wallplate units that work in tandem to extend a VGA signal to to a projector, monitor or television. The kit is ideal for digital signs in schools, churches or retail applications where the video source is located farther than conventional cables allow. Attractive wallplate units eliminate cable clutter.
Because compatibility issues can occur when EDID information is not properly communicated between the source and the display, the B130-101A-WP-2 includes an EDID copy feature. This enables the transmitter to store the display’s EDID information and send it to the video source, ensuring top-shelf compatibility.
The B130-101A-WP-2 can extend a 1024 x 768(60 Hz) signal up to 1,000 feet and a 1920 x 1440(60 Hz) signal up to 500 feet when using 24 AWG solid-wire Cat5e/6 cable, such as Tripp Lite’s N022-01K-GY(Cat5) and N222-01K-GY(Cat6), to connect the two units. For optimal image quality between 500 and 1,000 feet, use zero-skew cable, such as Tripp Lite’s P524-01K. The RJ45-type wallplate jacks accept standard Cat5e/6 patch cables, so no 110 punchdown connection is required.
You can also connect up to three B132-110 or B132-110A remote repeaters in a chain(using Cat5e/6 cable) for a total of five VGA displays(one local and four remote) and full 1024 x 768(60 Hz) signal extension of 2,000 feet.
Extended Display Identification Data(EDID) Copy Feature
Transmitter stores monitor’s EDID information and sends it to video source, ensuring optimal display compatibility
Monitor must be connected directly to transmitter’s VGA port to activate EDID copy feature
